Using EZ430 in a Linux VM

MSP430 - Discuss mailing list
Hello,

I have been trying to use EZUSB in a Linux VM using VirtualBbox.

I attach my EZUSB to the vm successfully. But Ubuntu Linux doesn't detect
it for some reason.

I tried to use it directly to a Linux box (bypassing the VM) and it works
fine with mspdebug.

I believe people have tried it in VMWare workstation and player without
success.

Any pointers?

Thanks.

Seems that it fails at driver / firmware load. Is there a new firmware for
it?

Thank you.
